California Poppies

I was in Avila Beach, California taking photos. At the top of this retaining wall by the side of the road was a bunch of rather tenacious California Poppies. I was able to stand at the base of the wall and shoot up to get the light filtering through the flowers and the beautiful clear blue sky. For my version, I made the sky much more dramatic.

Here is the original beautifully framed. It measures about 20" x 24" including the frame.
