Need help choosing tile
Below are seven mockups of the kitchen using tile samples. Please note these are Photoshopped mockups and are about as close as I could get to what I think it will look like with each of these tiles. There are three images for each tile the first is the view of the kitchen with the new tile. The second is the tile itself and the third is the tile with the color palette. Most of these tiles do not have coordinating bullnose or edging tiles. In these cases the tile will be edged with wood painted in the same white as the cabinets, or with the white tile, in the same darker blue for contrast.
As you can see, this is not a neutral color palette. This is a bright, cheerful kitchen. So, have a look and then fill out the survey at the end. (Click on any of the images for a larger view.)

#1 - Glazed ceramic subway tile.
These were from a discount place that didn't have any larger sizes available. These are 4"x16". I put one strip of the mosaic tile along the upper part of the backsplash.

#2 - Cobalt Blue
This is a 14"x14" square floor tile. It has a matte finish that is slightly pebbly.

#3 Dark gray
This is a 12"x12" glazed porcelain floor tile. It is a mottled very dark gray with very subtle hints of blue.

#4 -Blue Terracotta
This is a 12"x12" floor tile in a terracotta style. It has a matte finish. The color is blended medium and medium/dark blues with very subtle sparkle.

#6 - White marble
This is a porcelain floor tile made to look like marble. This style and color of tile is easy to find just about anywhere. This particular one came from Home Depot. To give some contrast the wood trim is painted the darker of the two blues in the color palette.
