Fiber Art of Loretta Alvarado View this email in your browser What a fabulous summer The Art-A-Fair Festival in Laguna Beach, California is now over. It was both a long and a short 10 weeks. Thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth. I had lots of fun and received many compliments for my art. I enjoyed reading the comments in my guest book and hearing, "Your work is beautiful." Once in a while I get a complement like this. It came from someone named Darleen who did not leave any contact information: “My son and I attended the festival and yours is one of the select number of cards I actually did pick up. Thank you for sharing your art talent with us. We really enjoyed it… So thanks again. I wanted to express my appreciation for the way you beautify the world.” What a wonderful thing to hear on my voice mail! That just made my day. So, Darleen, if you're out there, thank you! For those of you who have been following the progress, this was as far as I was able to complete on the View of the Lake piece before the Art-A-Fair show ended. The houses were taking longer than expected. You can still see the work-in-progress photos on my Facebook page. I love the way it looks so far. Not sure when I will get this finished. I have other things to make for upcoming shows. And speaking of shows, Here's the next place where I will be showing my work. It's the Seasons of the Heart Craft Show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. This is one of my favorite craft shows. There are lots of wonderful things there and I always seem to go home with more goodies than I intended. Hope to see you this weekend!
